The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – MIMAROPA Region Career Executives, headed by Regional Executive Director Felix S. Mirasol, Jr., CESO IV, carried out a community-based service delivery at Barangay 668, Ermita, Manila on November 13, 2023. Thirty-five (35) eco-bags containing “baon goodies” and vitamins were distributed to Day Care children ages 2-4 years old and teacher/parent-volunteers.

The event is in support of the Career Executive Service Board’s (CESB) 50th founding anniversary celebration this November 2023 and the DENR-wide simultaneous conduct of Community Passion (ComPassion) Project. The ComPassion Project encourages Career Executives to conduct community-based service delivery activities to address felt needs of their constituents and stakeholders in a way that support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pillars – People, Prosperity, Planet, Peace, and Partnership.

The DENR MIMAROPA ComPassion Project was held at Barangay 668, Ermita, Manila, as this is the community where its regional office is located. The provided assistance to the Barangay Day Care Center is also in support of the PEOPLE pillar of the SDGs, specifically SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-Being for All at All Ages. The event is carried out with support/assistance from the United Laboratories, Inc.
