Hon. Trina Alejandra Firmalo-Fabic is presently the Municipal Chief Executive of Odiongan, Romblon. Mayor Trina’s innovative leadership and governance include infrastructure, health, social services, education, and livelihood.
She advocates anti-violence against women and children, is an avid leader in advancing transparency, involves the people in the search for progress, and has a gender-responsive and inclusive governance. Her Covid-19 response is worthy of emulation, as she made the agricultural products of women healthier options to affected households in Odiongan. She is not your typical woman-politician. She is soundly serving with contemporary approaches on issues surrounding the government.

 

 

Ms. Indira Dayang Lacerna-Widmann is the Chief Operations Officer of the Katala Foundation Inc. She manages different community-based conservation programs and projects in the province of Palawan, including the Philippine Cockatoo Conservation Program and the Green Heart of Palawan Wildlife Conservation Program. Ms. Lacerna-Widmann is an author to different refereed publications related to conservation and a recipient of many awards, including the 2017 Commendation from the Senate of the Philippines, Whitley Award (Green Oscars), and one of the first Biodiversity Champions given in recognition by the DENR BMB in 2017, among others.

 

 

Ms. Elizabeth Amador Maclang is the Park Superintendent (PASu) of the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park (PPSRNP).

She has been an environmental advocate for 16 years in the Province of Palawan.

A community development worker by heart, and upholds social justice for the communities and the environment.

 

 

Ms. Cynthia Aspiras-Lascano, Nurse II and Head Information, Education and Communication Team of LGU Brooke's Point, Palawan, is a dedicated public servant who led the successful implementation and COVID-19 response in their town, particularly the vaccination process.

She's at the forefront of providing information campaigning vaccine efficacy and safety in Brooke's Point, leading to more people getting vaccinated.

 

 

Mr. Delmer B. Garingalo is the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer (MENRO) and the designated Municipal Tourism Officer in Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro.

MENRO Garingalo, an educator by profession, has facilitated the drafting of their town's Ten-Year Solid Waste Management Plan that was eventually approved and is presently being implemented. He also intensifies the program on proper Solid Waste Disposal and Management by launching and implementing "Barteran," a waste diversion program enjoining the women to engage in proper waste management, wherein the LGU gives grocery packs to those who participated.

 

 

Dr. Lovelyn R. Sotoza is the Municipal Health Officer of Brookes Point, Palawan. She's the overall team leader in the successful COVID-19 response of their town - responsible for managing the facilities, prevention services, reviewing and improving the emergency operation plans, and providing care and support to COVID-19 response staff.

Also, she developed strategies to implement in regular health programs tailored-fit in response to the pandemic. 

 

 

Mr. Ernesto Nagato is the OIC - Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer of Sofronio Espanola in Palawan.

He facilitated the creation of the evacuation area and isolation facility for severe COVID-19 cases in their municipality. Since 2017, Mr. Nagato has been involved in Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns on disaster preparedness in all of the Barangays of Sofronio Espanola, particularly with the women members of the 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program). He also led an advisory radio program aired every Sunday to inform their constituents about the standard health protocols, weather conditions, and storm updates.

 

 

 

Hon. Adeline Angeles is one of the provincial board members of Marinduque.

As a gender and development advocate, BM Angeles has actively promoted the interest of women and LGBTQIA++ through the identification and institutionalization of essential programs in the province such as educational assistance/scholarship, technical and livelihood training, and housing support, among others.

Outside of her official mandate as a local legislator, she continuously champions causes for women by hosting weekly tv and radio programs at Radio Nation, Marinduque News Network, Community Channel of Lucky 7 Cable – where she discusses women’s issues and concerns, their rights, and various government programs they can avail. 

 

 

Ms. Ellaine Faith Fabellore Gonzales is the Social Welfare Officer III of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

Among Ms. Gonzales’ accomplishments were organizing nine (9) women’s groups, eight ( 8 ) out-of-school youth groups, three (3) solo parent groups, three (3) people with disabilities groups, all in Sablayan. She has also been involved in numerous GAD-related plannings, including seven (7) GAD Planning and Budgeting workshops for the barangays and five (5) sectoral gender analysis workshops for youth, women, senior citizens, and solo-parent and persons with disabilities in Sablayan since 2020. She is also a co-founder of BOLUNTERISMO PH, a group of volunteers focusing on GAD and access to quality education for the local Indigenous People community.

The organization has provided learning gadgets, school supplies, scholarships, and even food provisions during the pandemic so far in two years.
