To inspire more people in the conservation of the environment, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources MIMAROPA Region, through the Regional Strategic Communications and Initiatives Group (RSCIG), has launched an exhibit spotlighting the portraits of chosen endemic and endangered species, scenic landscapes, and indigenous people in the region.
RSCIG has also incorporated environmental facts into each exhibit entries to highlight the agency's efforts in protecting and conserving these species and bountiful landscapes. The three-part exhibit established on the ground floor of the regional office embodies the environmental portraits created by talented MIMAROPA individuals from the recent Digital Artwork contest, scenic prints of the endemic and endangered flora and fauna species in Sibuyan, Romblon, and selected Marine Protected Areas in the region and the Protecting Our Own exhibit which focuses on environmental awareness with creative execution from RSCIG.
To provide public access to these ecological portraits, we also launched a virtual exhibition into a digital form on our official social media pages.
Also featured in the exhibit were wonderful portraits from artists in the MIMAROPA Region. We hope to promote, empower and reward visualcreators with visibility and professional opportunity to hone a generation of talent and transform their creative works into Information, Education, and Communication materials focused on protecting the environment and conservation of biodiversity.###
