DENR Region IVB designates New Protected Area Superintendents

Regional Director Oscar C. Dominguez named three (3) new Protected Area Superintendents (PASU) to ensure close monitoring and effective management of certain protected areas in Palawan and Occidental Mindoro.
Under the Regional Special Order No. 174 dated July 10, 2014, the designation of the officials as new PASU was authorized, naming Pablo L. Cruz, the current PASU of Rasa Island Wildlife Sanctuary (RIWS), as the new PASU of Mt. Mantalingahan Protected Landscape (MMPL) under the jurisdiction of CENRO-Quezon, Palawan and Robert Duquil, the current Assistant PASU of Apo Reef Natural Park (ARNP), as the new PASU of Mt. Calavite Wildlife Sanctuary (MCWS) under the jurisdiction of CENRO-Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro. Further, Forester Rhodora Ubani was designated to assume the post as the new PASU of RIWS in concurrent capacity as PAWCZMS Chief of PENRO-Palawan.
The new designation was intended to harmonize the management of the protected area with operations of the CENR Office which involve intensification of the accomplishment of the PA activities including the implementation of the National Greening Program within the respective PA.
